I agree with you. This type of projects should be encouraged and I think that these type of projects are the projects for the future. . . . .

Strangely enough, although your comment was meant as satire, Cal, a friend of mine was fired from a facility for run-away girls about two years ago for hugging her clients. There was a strict no touching rule in this shelter of love. Counselors were not to touch their clients unless it was to restrain them from committing a harmful action. Clients were not to touch each other in any manner; no hugs, no hand holding, no pecks on the cheek; nothing. What was most pathetic was that some of these girls were pregnant with babies that were arranged for adoption. As some of the babies were several months old before they were adopted, they were cared for by the facility. The care takers were not allowed to coo at the babies, hug and tickle them, or commit any interaction that might create a bonding except to feed or rock them. Talk about kill joys! Dylan votes, "Nazi".

Frankly, as crazy as some people are going around seeing child molesters everywhere like Birchers seeing Commies everywhere, I'm surprised someone hasn't levied a child molesting charge on Santa himself.

What a bunch of Kill-Joys. My family doesn't celebrate winter holidays this way. However to a lot of people there is something about feeling loved by someone who "knows when you're bad or good" and sends you a letter or present anyway that keeps the icycles around the heart at bay. Why take that away from people? And why take it away from the tender hearted do-gooders who want to help?
Particularly since, if I read it right, the pedophile in questions wasn't even in North Pole, Alaska.
