Most of the satire associated with Family Guy is a knock on the door wake-up call to everyday life situations that are taken seriously and blown out of proportion. It's overexaggerated mockery that happens to make sense. Like c'mon gimme a break. If one of us creates an equally successful entity and is able to lure the eye of millions of people dedicated to viewing upcoming sequels of a grotesquely plotted series let's see who's going to complain. Family Guy's achievement is based on the number of viewers not the quality of the content. It's called easy judging. Blame it on the public.

Learning Family Guy was up for the Emmy's made me want to throw my television out the door for a second time, but i need it to watch my favorite DVD's. Hollywood has gone off the deep end, kicking and screaming like a drunken prostitute being thrown out of a bar. She's dried up, used up, dizzy with pill popping and doesn't have a shred of talent in her body. It's time to find some new dimensions in entertainment.

How about the fact that Seth McFarlane recently signed a 100 million dollar contract to extend the show, making him the highest paid writer-producer in history? (Not to mention the youngest, as he is only 35 years of age and after a decade or so of polluting Fox with his pseudo-talent)

That's enough to make you think the world takes itself too seriously.

I do so love Matt and Trey...
I spent last night watching "Snoop Dogg's Tales From the Hood." which was deliciously crappy. Just the sort of thing to take your mind off how incredibly seriously people take lame assed cartoons like the Family Guy. I have nothing but love for people who purposefully scoop out oozing ladles of cheese and drizzle it for my delight. It's junk food for the mind. But to take any of this shit seriously pisses me off. In addition I slowed down the credits at the end of the "Tales from the Hood" because the animation between cheeze segments were amoungst some of the best I have seen in a while. Good stuff. Nacho good.
I would like to see the Manatees do an episode regarding snoop dog, the crypt keeper and mexico though, that would rock!
